Every target note becomes a lane. Your voice draws a line through it, coloured by how far off you are — so "a bit sharp" turns into "+23 cents on the onset, centred by the hold".

The ear steers the voice
You can only sing a note you can imagine. Vocalify trains that separately from the singing — recognition first, then singing it back with the target hidden.

Questions, answered
What is free, and what needs a Pro subscription?
Standalone exercises and live pitch feedback are free to use without an account. The first five course lessons are also free. A free account lets you save up to five melodies, sync across devices and split one backing track per day. Vocalify Pro is a subscription for lessons from lesson six, audio splits without a daily limit, unlimited saved melodies and more storage.
Is there a structured course, or just exercises?
Both. There is a training plan: the first five course lessons are free, and lesson six onward requires Pro. Standalone exercises are available separately, so you can keep practising without subscribing.
What happens when the free trial ends?
You return to the free plan with no automatic charge. Free exercises and the first five course lessons remain available; lesson six onward requires Pro again. Saved melodies and stems remain, including melodies above the free limit. Audio splits return to one per day, and saving new melodies beyond five requires Pro. The trial lasts seven days, once per account.
What happens when my storage fills up?
Recording keeps working. The oldest takes are deleted to make room for new ones, and the app warns you well before it starts — backing tracks and stems are never removed this way, because your melodies depend on them. The free allowance is 250 MB; Pro raises it to 5 GB.
Does my voice get uploaded anywhere?
Pitch detection runs in your browser and your audio never has to leave the device. Without an account, everything — melodies, sessions and recordings — stays in your browser's storage. Sign in only if you want your practice history synced across devices; recordings sync too, when you opt in.
Do I need an account, or anything installed?
Nothing to install, and no account to start: open the app, allow microphone access, and every built-in drill — warm-ups, scales, sirens, range test, ear training — runs straight away. A free account (email code, password or Google) is needed only to build and save your own melodies, routines and presets, and to sync your history across devices.
Do I need a special microphone?
No. A laptop or phone mic is enough to track pitch accurately. What matters more is a quiet room and, if you're using a backing track, headphones — otherwise the mic hears the track as well as you.
Won't my Bluetooth headphones throw the timing off?
They would, so Vocalify measures the delay during setup (or you can tap it in yourself) and shifts scoring and the playhead by that amount. What you hear and what gets graded stay lined up.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes — the whole app adapts to phone screens on iOS and Android, including the editor's pinch and pan. A desktop browser is still nicer for building melodies.
Can it really help my range and intonation?
Pitch accuracy responds to feedback, and Vocalify's job is to make that feedback immediate and objective. Range drills move your limits a semitone at a time, cents-accurate colour shows you the miss while you can still fix it, and every run is measured — so improvement is something you can check rather than believe.
Can I use my own backing tracks?
Yes. Attach any audio file to a melody and it plays in time with the grid — that part is free. A free account also includes one audio split per day, separating a recording into accompaniment and vocals. Pro removes the daily split limit. After a split finishes, you can practise against the accompaniment alone.
